Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Manager-Employer-Based Wellness Services and Director-Employee Assistance Program (EAP), acts as the account manager for both Wellness and EAP initiatives for assigned business entities. Develops and implements programs and resources, in partnership with departments, that create awareness, motivation and support of total wellbeing. Assists in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring for all contracted services including, but not limited to, account management, sales and contracting, education program facilitation, training, health coaching and reporting. Serves as a key interface with the employer community and represents not only Wellness Services/EAP but other WellSpan services.


Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Acts as Wellness Services and EAP Account Manager for assigned business units. This includes, but is not limited to, communication and marketing, annual reporting, managing billing and premium payments and acting as a liaison between Wellness Services/EAP and the business unit. Develops and maintains effective relationships with key individuals from employer groups and prospective accounts.
  2. Develops, coordinates, manages and maintains total wellbeing programming to reduce health risk, medical costs and encourage healthy lifestyles in collaboration with respective departments.
  3. Facilitates the scheduling, staffing and logistics of on-site employer-based activity and events, including wellness screenings, in collaboration with employer contacts and EAP/Wellness team members.
  4. Provides evidence-based health coaching as requested.
  5. Facilitates EAP services as necessary, such as critical incident stress management (with on call schedule), training and consultation services.
  6. Assists in drafting employee communications with respect to new benefits or wellbeing programming to provide continuing education.
  7. Implements wellbeing-related activities (e.g., health screenings, lunch and learn seminars, health fairs, etc.).
  8. Responsible for the sale, implementation and continuing service of employer accounts.
  9. Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the products offered through WellSpan Well at Work to effectively communicates these to current and future clients.
  10. Assists in the marketing and promotion of employer-based events including, education packets, event requests, flyers/posters and other promotional resources as necessary. Ensures that program materials and supplies are fully stocked and ready for future use.
  11. Utilizes standard evaluation tools to obtain participant feedback on program effectiveness and associated outcome measures, as appropriate.

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 6-12 months in a health-related field/organization


  • Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field.
    • Preferred Education: Master’s Degree


  • Skills:
    • Organizational ability, self-motivation, strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with computer and use of software including Microsoft Office and database applications
    • Certification of health coaching completed within one year of hire; Qualified candidates could be Health Educators, Counselors, Dietitians, Exercise Specialists, RNs, Mental Health Professionals.
