WARM Line Support Technician - Addiction Services - Days

7am-3pm, Monday - Friday

General Summary

With support from the WARM Line Program Coordinator, provides telephone support and assistance with resources and referrals for individuals affected by addiction, and works with WellSpan providers and community stakeholders in five counties to contribute to the coordination, management and expansion of addiction services for the system.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Provides telephone support and connection to services in the community for individuals seeking information and help with addiction resources.
  • Facilitates referrals and schedules appointments for MAT for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD).
  • Supports a plan for universal screening in primary care offices by way of the completion of the SBIRT for individuals referred for risk stratification based on their DAST scores.
  • Provides ASAM level of care assessments as needed to facilitate referrals to treatment.
  • Helps to review and manage the Recovery Support Department work queue.
  • Assures that the WARM Line resource directory is up to date and accurate.
  • Helps to ensure that the WARM Line Standard Work is followed and updated as needed.
  • Participates in continuous improvement to ensure the optimal functioning of the WARM Line.
  • Ensure that safety for every situation has primary consideration, referring and/or reporting individuals to crisis, 911, and PA Childline as needed.

  • Completes all necessary documentation of each telephone encounter and maintains monthly logs of services provided.
  • Acquires knowledge of resources in all five counties

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED With preferably some college level social science credits. Required

Work Experience:

  • Less than 1 year In a health-related field preferably working with individuals with substance use disorder. Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Interpersonal skills, both verbal and listening, necessary to communicate effectively with others in the accomplishment of administrative and clinical duties as well as in community contacts.
  • Analytical skills necessary for the interpretation of financial and performance improvement data, the design of treatment plans, and the evaluation of effectiveness and efficient of treatment programs.
  • Analytical skills necessary in order to organize, plan, and direct the work of operational aspects of clinical programs, including implementation of the strategic, marketing, and financial plans for the program.
