Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Manager-Value Analysis, provides project support for Value Analysis Team (VAT) initiatives including outcomes tracking. Works independently and exercises independent judgment and discretion. Requires project management skills and knowledge of statistical analysis, spreadsheet and other software programs. Administers/coordinates programs, projects and/or processes as assigned, and may act as a liaison between executive leadership and Supply Chain Management (SCM) project teams during report-outs. This position supports projects that improve the care and safety of patients and employees.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Accountabilities:

  1. Monitors and maintains records of VAT initiatives, tracks and validates utilization.
  2. Coordinates the oversight and management of initiatives.
  3. Ensures that all project plans are developed and executed using methodology consistent with System performance improvement.
  4. Monitors savings and improvements from projects, ensuring savings calculations are accurate and savings resulting from project successes are properly allocated.
  5. Provides project management support to VAT leadership and Value Analysis Manager.
  6. Regularly develops and reports VAT summaries for report to Value Analysis Steering Committee and Performance Council.
  7. Proactively reviews industry trends and benchmarks. Internal benchmark variance and industry trend differences are highlighted and reported to ensure strategies and project executions have been and remain successful.
  8. Monitors outcomes related to various VAT initiatives such as readmission rates, LOS, and cost per case.
  9. Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
  10. Administers/coordinates programs, projects, and/or processes within the Supply Chain as assigned.
  11. Prepares documentation for and provides implementation training as required.
  12. Evaluates current departmental procedures and makes recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Performs analysis of Value Analysis Team and Supply chain initiatives.
  14. Monitors daily activity, resolves problems, performs maintenance and interfaces with vendors in developing solutions to problems and submitting enhancement requests with subsequent follow-up.
 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 3 - 5 years
  • Minimum Education:
    • Associate's Degree
  • Preferred Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Field Of Expertise:
    • Supply Chain Management/Materials Management/Computer Science
  • Skills:
    • Intermediate computer skills; project management skills; knowledge of statistical analysis, spreadsheet and other software programs; excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
