Trades Specialist Construction Project Manager - Plant Engineering - Days

Location: Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, PA
Schedule: Full Time

Full time (80 hours biweekly)

Monday - Friday 7:00a-3:00p

General Summary

Assists with the facility planning process, providing necessary support related to moves, additions and/or renovations. Implements functional rearrangements and moves ensuring coordination of all respective support services. Meets with end users to determine space allocation, furniture and equipment needs. Provides interior design consultation and specifies furnishings, finishes and equipment in accordance with System standards. Assists with space utilization planning, design and layout. Coordinates project requirements with service providers. Conducts pre- and post-occupancy evaluations, following up and resolving punch list items as appropriate. Manages small-scale projects independently throughout the project's lifecycle, from initiation through closeout or may be matrixed to a senior project manager or project manager as part of a project delivery team. Provides Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) support

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Implements functional rearrangements and moves ensuring coordination of all respective support services. Meets with end users to determine space allocation, furniture and equipment needs.
  • Contacts vendors to obtain quotes for furnishings and equipment. Issues purchase orders and approves invoices as necessary.
  • Coordinates facility service requests with appropriate internal and external service providers who perform work on site with minimum impact or inconvenience to customers and their productivity.
  • Conducts pre- and post-occupancy evaluations to include inspections of installations of carpet, paint, wall covering, modular workstations, furniture, etc. Follows-up and resolves punch list items as appropriate.
  • Prepares project estimates and budgets for capital and operational funding processes.
  • Creates, manages and communicates a detailed activation schedule as part of the activation process on all projects assigned.
  • Creates and maintains project information on Design & Construction portal relative to coordination or projects assigned.
  • Provides independent project management, in conjunction with the Project or Building Owner, on small scale projects. * Manages all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation through closeout.* Ensures that all deliverables and outcomes are implemented on time, on budget, and within scope to meet the project goals.* Coordinates and oversees outside construction resources, which may include sourcing said services and interfacing with in-house support departments.* Coordinates the decommissioning of vacated space to ensure that WellSpan assets are properly removed and disposed of, repurposed, or stored for future use.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager, assists with ICRA, Department of Health and other regulatory agency notifications.
  • Updates estimated Final Project Cost on a monthly basis.
  • Specifies furnishings, finishes and equipment in accordance with System standards.
  • Monitors distribution and use of System furnishings and equipment inventory.
  • Assists in maintaining System standards for furniture, finishes and equipment.
  • Specific CAD accountabilities:* Works with the Project Delivery Team to develop appropriate space planning concepts or test fits for proposed renovations or new construction. * Prepares changes to existing drawings as directed.* Files, retrieves and provides drawings to staff, outside contractors and consultants as directed and maintains a record thereof.* Maintains existing plans by completing revisions as requested, documenting all changes and requests for changes to the plans, and highlighting revisions to verify work is complete.* Assists with the project closeout process by organizing and maintaining electronic and paper drawing files. Creates baseline drawings for use by Facility Services staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Associates Degree Required

Work Experience:

  • 2 years Relevant subject matter experience in project management. Required
  • 1 year Experience with CAD-based systems, architectural. Preferred

Driver's License Statement:

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
