Sleep Services Team Leader

 

Full Time (80 Hours Biweekly) - Day/Evening Shift

 

 

General Summary:


Under the general supervision of the Regional Manager-Sleep Services, performs all necessary tasks to ensure efficient operation and quality of care at the designated facility.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assists with the day to day operations of the designated facility to ensure efficient operations and compliance with all regulatory guidelines. 
  • Collects and monitors QA & PI indicators at designated facilities. Works with Manager and Medical staff to achieve and maintain thresholds.
  • Maintains positive communications with regional manager, medical director and office staff to accomplish Sleep Medicine goals.
  • Performs MSLT, MWT, and day Polysomnograms procedures at all Sleep Medicine facilities.
  • Troubleshoots equipment when minor technical problems occur.
  • Responsible for taking after hours call for technical staff.
  • Works in concert with the Director, Managers and Medical Director to maintain Sleep Centers AASM accreditation status and to develop and implement appropriate clinical services.
  • Performs all functions of a Polysomnographic Technologist.
Required Skills

 

  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one-year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills that reflect the ability to independently lead, prioritize work assignments and adapt new processes and/or techniques
  • Strong customer service skills focused on gaining a full understanding of needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Acts as role model by making positive first impressions, demonstrating respectful and welcoming behavior, maintaining composure when faced with difficult or demanding situations and/or personalities and shifts in priorities and/or tasks

 

Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience performing polysomnographic procedures
