Senior Director-Revenue Cycle Analytics
Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Vice President-Revenue Cycle, is responsible for providing key performance metrics and analytics that support strategic revenue and operational improvements throughout revenue cycle departments for both Hospital (HB) and Professional Services (PB). Accumulates, reports, and analyzes revenue data, providing a high level of operational effectiveness as well as customer service during this process. Directs, plans, organizes, and controls the analytics activities and functions such as, but not limited to, denials management, CROWE/RCA, and vendor management, which will provide meaningful reporting structure, education and training, and analytic data to departments and to WellSpan leadership. This position will build and maintain relationships with patient access, coding, payer contracting, finance, site leadership and other collaborative partners across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for leveraging EPIC reporting and analysis to support WellSpan Health strategic initiatives that focus on revenue and operational improvements as outlined by corporate, regional, and departmental strategic plans, which will include both HB and PB services.
- Owns Analysis and Reporting for Executive Metrics Reporting to enable business intelligence and self-service analytics to significantly improve decision making at WellSpan Health.
- Owns, maintains, and updates training, processes, and dashboards/scorecards supporting operational projects and decisions.
- Provides meaningful reporting, education and training, and analytics to Department and WellSpan leadership as needed.
- Partners with Project Manager, Department Leaders, and other key stakeholders to lead strategic data projects, data tracking, and analytics.
- Provides data analyses using tools including Crowe/RCA, Slicer, Dashboards, Reporting Workbench, Cubes, Excel, and others as required.
- Identifies and accesses key data sources needed for new data projects and interacts with customers from all areas.
- Provides data, ad hoc analyses, and training on self-service reporting tools.
- Oversees department providing daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring on key performance measures and reporting to ensure the financial health of the system.
- Provides data-driven enhancement recommendations and guidance to support revenue cycle improvements.
- Participates in all mandatory staff meetings, in-services, and training programs to ensure continued understanding of all policies, procedures, and improvement processes.

- Equivalent experience and education may be substituted, if the experience is closely and strongly linked to Business Analytics
- Minimum Experience:
- 5 – 7 years of professional and analytical experience as well as project management and process improvement experience
- Min Field of Expertise: Business Analytics
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
