General Summary

Specializes in the treatment of patients and cancer patients using radiation. Prescribes radiation therapy to patients according to established standards and practices and manages patients during and after therapy. Works closely with other staff in the department to accomplish treatment planning,

Position Highlights:

  • Looking for Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center.
  • Established team consists of 4 radiation therapist, 2 medical oncologist, 1 dosimetrist, 1 physicist, dieticians and social workers
  • State of the art radiation oncology technology available
  • Work at a cancer center that houses all oncology specialties in the same building
  • Work collaboratively with medical oncologist, breast surgeon, urologist, otolaryngologist and support staff
  • Have access to Johns Hopkins second opinion services
  • Participate in established general and breast tumor boards
  • Reasonable shared system call for work like balance

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Work Experience:

  • Experience obtained during residency. Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Appropriate training in radiation therapy and radiation safety. Upon Hire Required and
  • Appropriate specialized training. Upon Hire Required
