General Summary

Assists in the operation of the Pulmonary Services Department. Provides medical care to patients. Assists in the review of the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.

WellSpan Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine is looking for a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join their practice in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. This practice is a comprehensive practice serving Lancaster County, and surrounding areas.

Position Highlights:

  • Join an established group with 3 Experienced Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Position provides coverage for inpatient and Critical Care units in Ephrata Hospital
  • Full spectrum of bronchoscopy, including navigational bronchoscopy and EBUS
  • Excellent support and a strong referral base from specialty and primary care physicians
  • Position designed for lifestyle balance with excellent hours and reasonable call
  • Practice located in new 12,000 SF facility
  • Office features full PFT labs with full-time respiratory therapists

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
  • Subspecialty Certification in Pulmonary Disease or Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease or Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Medicine. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Teaching skills.
