Position Summary:

General Summary:


Under general supervision, assists in the design, direction, implementation, and sustainability of projects that improve quality, cost, safety, timeliness, efficiency and appropriateness of WellSpan Health services. Facilitates improvement efforts utilizing proven process improvement methodologies.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Establish and maintain positive working relationships with management and staff throughout WellSpan Health and its entities.
2 Effectively transition into and out of multiple settings within the health system, establish credibility & gain trust.
3 Provide consultation on the application of process improvement principles and quality improvement tools and techniques to WellSpan & entity leaders, managers and staff.
4 Work with improvement teams to design and implement performance monitoring systems.
5 Apply analytical methods for problem solving and operations improvement.
6 Provide education related to process improvement principles to leaders, managers and staff throughout WellSpan Health.
7 Effectively coach others as they apply performance improvement philosophies, methods, tools, and change management techniques.
8 Facilitate effective meetings and workshops using group process and problem solving tools and techniques.
9 Collaborate with leadership to identify and resolve conflicts and barriers to quality improvement.
10 Manage project scope, schedule and budget using project management tools and techniques.
11 Provide consultation on effective change management strategies.
12 Utilize IT applications for preparing status reports, progress updates and other documentation as requested.
13 Develop and provide presentations on process improvement projects.
14 Participates in identified learning and development opportunities.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Performance improvement field 
Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred       

Required Experience

3 - 5 years experience required
Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communications skills; knowledge of statistical analysis, spreadsheet and other software programs; group facilitation; project management
Local travel required
