Job Description

Under general supervision, manages clinical, business office and other administrative functions of the practice. Supervises clinical and business office personnel to include recruiting, orientation, training, performance evaluation and counseling. Prepares and maintains work schedules. Performs administrative duties of a general nature. Performs payroll and other financial functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Disseminates work to staff members, establishes priorities and resolves problems relating to day-to-day operations.
  2. Selects, trains/orients, assigns staff, evaluates performance, prepares work schedules and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  3. Develops, establishes and maintains policies and procedures and quality assessment/improvement programs.
  4. Develops and prepares annual budget. Monitors expenditures.
  5. Provides administrative/secretarial support such as answering telephones, transcription, automatic time keeping, coordinating/scheduling meetings, appointments and/or seminars, and ordering supplies.
  6. Prepares employee time records. Monitors use of paid time off and overtime.
  7. Conducts staff meetings.
