WellSpan Health is seeking a full-time non-invasive cardiologist to join our thriving practice in York. Subspecialty training in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging is required. This is an opportunity to join an innovative and well-respected group.
About the practice:
- Candidates must be board certified in cardiovascular medicine
- Join a team of 24 impeccably trained and collegial cardiologists
- Physicians are supported by 21 experienced Advanced Practice Providers
- 100% consultative practice with infrequent call
- York hospital is a 579- bed teaching hospital and Level I trauma center
- Practice serves as the referral center for complex cardiology care in the WellSpan system
- Newly accredited Cardiology Fellowship will welcome its first class in 2024
- Large cardiac MRI/cardiac CT clinical volume with two Level III readers for mentorship and support
- Dedicated imaging time

CT:
- 4D CT in the cath lab
- Outpatient photon-counting CT will arrive in late 2023
- 2,500 CT’s/year including coronaries, structural & procedural planning
- Heartflow and Cleerly to come
- Database of LAA closure with pre/intra and post procedural CT cases
- Dedicated techs for cardiovascular CT
MRI:
- Busy CMR program with approximately 1,000-1,200 MRIs per year
- Advanced cardiac package with parametric mapping, 4d flow Magnets - Phillips Achieva 1 5T, Ingenia 3T
- Stress perfusion MRI, viability, masses, cardiomyopathies & valvular cases
- Mature CMR program with well-trained techs
- Master Research Agreement with Phillips in progress
PET/ Nuclear:
- Stress PET/ SPECT
- Full package including flows Siemens Biograph Horizon
- Study types – Sarcoid (FDG) & Stress PET
Echocardiography/ Structural Heart:
- Busy structural program – TEER, TMVR, TAVR, Watchman, Amulet, ASD & PFO closure
- Busy TEE program with TTE
Software:
- MRI – Circle, ADAS for scar
- CT – Terrarecon, Vitrea Intellispace portal, 3 Mensio, Truplan.
- Echo – Phillips Epic 7C/ Tomtech, CUPID for structured reporting, 3 D probes (Phillips X8)
- Nuclear – Both 4 DM SPECT and Cedars Sinai available
- PACS – visage
