Medical Assistant - Radiation Oncology - Days

Full Time (80 Hours Biweekly)

Day Shift (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)


Job Description:


Under the general supervision of licensed healthcare professionals, provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration and pulse.
  2. Receives or collects specimens and labels them appropriately; discards them after test or stores for future reference.
  3. Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment.
  4. Arranges for patient’s ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services.
  5. Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.




  • Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered
  • Minimum Education - Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
  • Minimum Experience - 6 months
  • Required Certification/Registration - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Preferred Certification/Registration - Certification as a Medical Assistant by an accredited certifying body
  • Required Course(s)/Training - Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school
  • Skills -
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to effectively present clinical information to the care team
    • Proficient in navigating and entering information into an electronic health record
    • Models teamwork; self-motivated and dependable
    • Must be able to work independently
