Master's Level Intern - Philhaven - Days

Location: WellSpan Philhaven, Mount Gretna, PA
Schedule: PRN/Per Diem

PRN as needed

Weekdays, daytime hours according to the need of the program

General Summary

Assists in the design, direction, facilitation, implementation, execution, and sustainability of projects, processes, and programs that improve quality, cost, safety, timeliness, efficiency and appropriateness of designated area's services. The intern's assignment will include various different tasks depending upon departmental priorities and time available. Adheres to guidelines regarding honest, complete reporting of sensitive and confidential information.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with management and staff throughout the System.
  • Apply process improvement principles and quality improvement tools and techniques to identified processes/systems/ tasks.
  • Apply analytical methods for problem solving and improvement.
  • Collect and organize data relevant to goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and resolve conflicts and barriers to improvement.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget using project management tools and techniques.
  • Utilize IT applications for preparing status reports, progress updates, and other documentation as requested.
  • Develop and provide presentations on projects.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Remains engaged in the assigned tasks and learning opportunities.
  • Reviews articles and resources to facilitate learning needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • College Level Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
  • Good interpersonal/communications skills.
