Job Description:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution including, but not limited to, issuing supplies, maintaining inventories and compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, etc..

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Moves/handles items such as, supplies, linen, mail, print products, equipment, etc..
  2. Performs a variety of activities such as, receiving, storing, cleaning, issuing, counting, shipping and ordering of supplies and equipment.
  3. Works to meet customer expectations - right stuff, right place, right time, right condition, right quantity, right price.
  4. Works in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Supports the capture and reporting of Key Performance Indicators/Measures that drive Continuous Improvement.
  6. Works with managers, supervisors, technicians, warehouses, mail services, print providers, couriers.
  7. Stocks vendor deliveries in designated areas.
  8. Receives requests for items, selects from inventory, loads distribution vehicles and distributes to designated areas.
  9. Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
  10. Inventories user storage areas and replenishes inventory or par levels. 11Prepares routine inventory reports and maintains records of in-house and on-order supplies.
  11. Supports periodic and special inventories. Participates in year-end inventories in cooperation with the Controller.
  12. Investigates discrepancies and reconciles. Monitors expiration dates. Processes inventory returns.
  13. Marks inventory articles with identification codes as needed.
  14. Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
  15. Attends meetings as required.
  16. Performs other related duties as identified.
  17. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
  18. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
  19. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience:
    • Up to 1 month
  • Minimum Education:
    • High School or G.E.D.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Heavy physical effort (lift/carry 26 to 50 lbs)
    • Frequent prolonged standing/walking
    • Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies
    • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
