General Summary:

 

 

Under the direct supervision, performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food. Performs a variety of routine duties in the cafeteria to prepare equipment and foods for service. Serves food and cleans up after meals following established practices and procedures. 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

1 Sets up and serves patient trays in accordance with established schedule and procedures.

2 Works on central tray line and assists with patient tray set up and preparation.

3 Prepares, loads, transports, and cleans food carts.

4 Prepares and sets up steam table, serving line and menu board. Obtains and places dishes, silverware, hot and cold foods, baked goods, beverages, desserts, and condiments.

5 Reviews menu and assembles food and supplies as needed for daily salad and cold foods preparation.

6 Serves food as directed. 

7 Participates in post-meal cleanup tasks as assigned or directed.

8 Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, and similar debris and transports to disposal area.

 

Required Skills

 

High School Diploma or GED preferred,

Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level which enables the individual to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job. 

Must be customer service driven and have a strong attention to detail.
