General Summary

Provides clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in a family practice setting.

WellSpan Health is seeking a family physician to join our growing practice near historic Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland state line. We are a community-centered practice with a fun and inclusive work environment located near Liberty Resort.

Position Highlights:

  • Join 3 providers in an organized, well-run and innovative practice
  • Nurse-triaged call schedule 9 weeknights/ year and 2-3 weekends/year
  • Flexible manager is open to a 4-day work week at full-time
  • Long-term staff - current staffing ratio is 1:1
  • EMR is Epic; Pharmacy, Lab and rehab on site
  • Option to use DAX - an AI scribe that generates a note in EPIC EMR

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine, or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Administrative skills.

Quality of Life

Established in 1800, Adams County includes the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Home to more than 100,000 residents, the town is a mecca for Civil War history buffs and visitors who come to tour the Gettysburg National Battlefield and Gettysburg National Military Park and see the annual Civil War reenactment.
