General Summary

Provides clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in a family practice setting.

WellSpan, a not-for-profit, community-based health care system in south central PA is seeking a Family Physician to join the team of providers at our Community Health Center in York. We are looking for someone who shares our goals of providing high quality, culturally sensitive care to the underserved.

WellSpan now utilizes DAX - Dragon Ambient eXperience in our Primary Care practices. DAX is an artificial intelligence scribe that ambiently listens to the patient visit and generates a clinical note in the EPIC electronic health record for the provider.

Position Highlights:

  • Join 10 other providers offering family medicine and pediatric care to the underserved population in the city of York
  • Full time, outpatient position with excellent call schedule for work/life balance
  • Work one day a week virtually from home
  • Calls triaged by our nurse call center
  • We offer MAT of Suboxone, transgender care/hormone replacement and HIV meds
  • Practice augmented by full-time Spanish interpreters, social workers, and an educational pharmacist

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine, or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Administrative skills.
