 General Summary:

Under the general supervision of the WSH Vice President – Ancillary Services, responsible for WSH system business development function in direct to Employer services.  This will include formal proposal development, with designated responsibility for the implementation and coordination of WSH extensive clinical services/offerings to the Employer community.  Assists in identification,  and prioritization for Senior Management’s consideration direct to employer strategies,  and proposals for pursuit of  business opportunities by employers and by region/geography within the Systems current markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Oversees and manages the employer contracting opportunities, with a dedicated focus of implementation of such services, and their ongoing smooth functioning as determined by the Employers contracts and satisfaction.
2 Collaborates with WSH Employer Services, Occupational Health, Entity Leadership, Planning, WSH Service Lines, Marketing and Finance dept management to lead the contracting and implementation activities work group to develop and refine the processes in effectively identifying, measuring and prioritizing BD opportunities. Responsible for improving the timeliness of the process from identification of the potential opportunity thru to presentation of the proposed offering to Senior Management and Employer Partners.
3 Works with service line management, key clinical department management and industry information to identify and assess emerging clinical technology, and service development trends as potential employer development opportunities.
4 Continuously evaluates opportunities for, and the refinement of employer strategies and services demonstrating internal and external value
5 Pursues innovative solutions to employer programs that emphasize the ability to manage care, control costs, ensure access, and employee wellness offerings. Assist in building the value proposition.
6 Responsible for coordinating the implementation of employer onsite, virtual, or new site WSH services in a timely and effective manner. Communicate updates and progress
7 Develops and manages the status reporting process on previously approved and implemented BD opportunities
8 Coordinates the financial management and planning dept resources to improve the comprehensive identification of the System wide contribution margin impact from business development opportunities.
9 Ensures the timely updating of WSH services inventory of potential offerings to our employer community.
10 Researches and recommends pricing strategies that may be based on bundling of WSH services, as well as scope and scale of services provided to Employer partners
11 Continually monitors the changing and competitor marketplace. Shares findings with senior leadership.


Required Skills


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education: Master’s Degree



Required Experience

5 - 8 years Experience with implementation and oversight of healthcare operations and care delivery programs and services. Must have background in Finance, Business, or Health Care administration.

There will be travel requirements and onsite oversight at Employer sites

Candidate will use of a variety of computer applications. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation, problem-solving, organization, facilitation and implementation, proposal writing; Knowledge of healthcare clinical issues and care delivery. Must have the ability to work as part of a team and as part of a matrix.
