Contracts Analyst

Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time

General Summary

Provides contract support for WellSpan product and services. Participates in negotiation of contracts and prepares reports and analysis of contract details and statistics. Works independently and exercises independent judgment and discretion. Works collaboratively with strategic WellSpan Health customers through the Value Analysis process in the evaluation of opportunities and facilitation of savings.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in sourcing selection by analyzing purchase history, industry benchmarks, market trends, stakeholder requirements, contract compliance and utilization information in collaboration with Value Analysis and Strategic Sourcing & Contracting Administrator.
  • Provides value to organization through comprehensive contracting activity including market share assessment, standardization efforts and best in class pricing and terms Supports and/or Conducts bids and Requests for Proposal (RFP) including ability to prepare specifications and the analysis of bids and contracts.
  • Visits WSH sites and requests data for analysis.
  • Engages with suppliers/vendors to resolve contract price discrepancies.
  • Assists and/or implements contracts and solutions.
  • Drives savings for WellSpan Health in support of departmental targets. Accurately documents contract spend and savings for every project.
  • Actively manages ERP system contracts and the management of the Supply Chain contract repository
  • Evaluates Vendor Performance and compliance to contract, communicate and document issues & corrective actions
  • Monitors and tracks rebates for assigned contracts.
  • Completes and provides continuous support for the item Add, Change, Inactivation process for ERP item master for assigned categories.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements. Shares learning and best-practices to help meet customer needs
  • Participates and assists Value Analysis teams in product trails and opportunity cost analysis.
  • Provides back-up support for day-to-day procurement activities as necessary.
  • Participates in organizational and GPO teams.
  • Provides leadership and support to the broader procurement team.
  • Monitors and resolves assigned service request tickets in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 years Required and
  • Knowledge of contracting law and governing regulations Required
  • Supply Chain management/Materials Management Preferred

Licenses:

  • Certified Materials and Resource Professional Upon Hire Preferred

Courses and Training:

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, spreadsheet and other software programs
  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Microsoft Office skill required
