Specializes in surgical procedures of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest.

Position Highlights:

  • Ideal candidate will be board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery with demonstrated clinical expertise in thoracic oncology
  • Opportunities for career and academic growth within WellSpan as well as through our oncology collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine
  • Candidate will serve as the primary surgeon to build the thoracic surgical practice in Ephrata, Pennsylvania at Ephrata Hospital
  • Work with a team of oncologist, radiation oncologist who are dedicated to giving comprehensive quality care to the Ephrata community and surrounding areas
  • Collaborative working environment with pulmonary working out of the same office location
  • Participate in tumor boards, research programs, clinical trials, and quality initiatives throughout the system
  • Quick drive to several major metros, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required or
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery with experience as a practicing cardiothoracic surgeon in the United States. Upon Hire Required and
  • Successful completion of a General Surgery residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
