General Summary:

1 Performs CT Scan Radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
2 Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g.,
contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.
3 Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
4 Positions and transfers patients comfortably.
5 Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
6 Performs duties as on call technologist. Trains new staff. Has passed the CT specialty exam as per ARRT.
7 Performs the duties of Radiographer as needed.
8 Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.

The CT - Imaging Department at York Hospital is committed to providing excellent patient care and service. 

Required Skills

Cert/Registration CT Registry required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Training Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in computer tomography procedures

Required Experience

Minimum Experience 2 - 3 years
