PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

WellSpan Health, an integrated not-for-profit health system serving the communities of South-Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland, is seeking a Per-Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neonatology team in York County. The organization consists of a multispecialty medical group of 220 care locations, eight hospitals, and a growing number of academic clinical affiliations. WellSpan Health is a team of 20,000 healthcare professionals committed to transforming the health of the communities we serve and educating medicine's next generation of physicians, advanced practice providers and leaders.  

About the Position:

  • Per-diem opportunity for a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with prior NICU experience 
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required
  • Experienced candidate will be responsible for stabilization of high-risk newborns in delivery room and newborn nursery care
  • Schedule requires 24-hour shifts
  • Seeking a clinician who is adept at newborn assessment and stabilization for Level I nursery
  • Preceptorship and mentorship for WellSpan Family Medicine residents needed upon request 
  • Shifts available in our Level III NICU in York for the candidate with the skill set to function independently in this setting
