Job Title: Wound Care Surgeon

Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team dedicated to transforming wound care into a comprehensive limb salvage program. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated physician to assist in the development of the program and make a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery or Vascular Surgery.

What You'll Champion:

  • Collaborative Team Support: Work with 3 experienced wound care nurses, a full-time Nurse Practitioner (1.0 FTE), and a vascular surgery team.
  • Integrated Care Model: Podiatry services onboard to support advanced wound care and limb salvage.
  • Growth Minded Individual: Drive the transition of our wound clinic into a limb salvage practice-ideal for a physician passionate about innovation and developing a limb salvage program.
  • High Patient Demand: Established patient base with strong referral patterns, offering immediate opportunity to build and grow the practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Masters Degree Required or
  • Doctorate Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Advanced Wound Care Training. Upon Hire Required and
  • UHMS-approved Hyperbaric Medicine Introductory Course (a minimum of 40 hours on site). Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
