Breast Surgeon

Location: WellSpan Medical Group, Chambersburg, PA
Schedule: Full Time

WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced Breast Surgeon to provide care to the residents of Adams & Franklin Counties. This is an opportunity to be employed by a mature, well-established medical group of 2,300+ providers. Position details:

  • Candidates are required to be board certified/eligible in General Surgery
  • Opportunity to lead WellSpan's NAPBC Accredited Breast Center
  • Fellowship training in Breast Surgery preferred.
  • High volume of breast pathology.
  • Advanced breast imaging capabilities.
  • You'll enjoy the support of specialists including medical & radiation oncology & plastic surgery
  • The oncology team collaborates with Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center
  • The area is experiencing an influx of young families & retirees from major NE cities
  • You'll inherit a patient panel from a busy breast surgeon who's retiring.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Teaching skills.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good phone skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Organized, sets priorities, and able to multi-task.
