Ask me about WellSpan being one of America's Greatest Places to work.
WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking an experienced, board-certified Neurologist with fellowship training in Neurocritical care at WellSpan York Hospital. As both a Level I Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center, we care for a high-acuity, diverse patient population. This is an opportunity to be part of an organization that strives to leverage technology and innovation to optimize all aspects of healthcare.
The position adds to an existing team of intensivists and is focused on consultation and management for patients in the dedicated NSICU as well as other intensive care units where severe neurological conditions are treated.
We have a dedicated 10-bed NSICU, staffed with intensivists with pulmonology background and neuro-critical care certification. The new position is intended to add unique and high-level expertise and is not intended to enter the rotation of the physicians who cover the unit.
Currently, neuro-hospitalists are covering the NSICU for Neurology consultation, the new Neuro-critical Care Neurologist will replace this function during the usual work hours, and may share the coverage with neuro-hospitalists for nights and weekends.
WellSpan York Hospital’s new eight‑story Surgical & Critical Care Tower is a major expansion project, where a larger dedicated NSICU will open. The size is intended to ultimately reach 24 beds.
