Job Title: Wound Care Surgeon
Location: York, PA
Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team dedicated to transforming wound care into a comprehensive limb salvage program. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated physician to assist in the development of the program and make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery or Vascular Surgery.
What You’ll Champion:
- Collaborative Team Support: Work with 3 experienced wound care nurses, a full-time Nurse Practitioner (1.0 FTE), and a vascular surgery team.
- Integrated Care Model: Podiatry services onboard to support advanced wound care and limb salvage.
- Growth Minded Individual: Drive the transition of our wound clinic into a limb salvage practice—ideal for a physician passionate about innovation and developing a limb salvage program.
- High Patient Demand: Established patient base with strong referral patterns, offering immediate opportunity to build and grow the practice.
- Future-Ready Facilities: Be part of an exciting growth phase with new surgical towers currently under construction at WellSpan, designed to expand advanced surgical capabilities and enhance patient care.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Masters Degree Required or
- Doctorate Required
Licenses:
- Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Advanced Wound Care Training. Upon Hire Required and
- UHMS-approved Hyperbaric Medicine Introductory Course (a minimum of 40 hours on site). Upon Hire Required and
- Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
