Wellness Services Clinical Assistant - PRN

Position Summary:

This position covers York/Adam/Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. 

 

General Summary:


Under the general supervision and in collaboration with the Wellness Services staff, provides wellness screenings to all customers of Wellness Services.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Assists with completing wellness screenings including phlebotomy, height/weight, blood pressure, waist circumference, reviewing paperwork for completeness, and provides general education specific to wellness screening values.
2 Manages specimens and tests and ensure proper ordering, labeling, tracking and data entry of results.
3 Responsible for assisting in medical supply inventory identification
4 Proficient in the use of the wellness database utilized in Wellness Services
5 Assists with preparation of collecting data, setting up classes and preparing resources

Required Skills

High School or GED Required

Associate's degree preferred

Certification as a Medical Assistant or current LPN license in PA; Phlebotomy certification

Required Experience

2 years experience required

3-6 months in occupational/ medical health office preferred 

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and computer literate.

Must possess a valid driver’s license in the current state of residence.  Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
