Position Summary:


General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director- Clinical Operations, assists in managing the daily clinical operations of the rehab department; facilitates program development and provides therapy services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are essential job accountabilities:
1 Ensures the delivery of quality therapy services for inpatients and outpatients by identifying patient needs and developing quality therapy programs.
2 Supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in carrying out treatment programs for patients.
3 Analyzes and recommends changes for improvement in program content.
4 Assists in formulating and screening Quality Assurance criteria and providing in-service training for staff.
5 Consults with medical, nursing and administrative staff on a regular basis to coordinate patient care.
6 Directs and develops approved procedures for therapy.
7 Assigns patients to staff therapists and reviews patient's progress to ensure that the highest quality of patient care is being provided.
8 Assesses patient needs for therapy in a timely fashion; completes initial evaluation.
9 Develops treatment plans for patients. Monitors progress and treatment level.



Required Skills

SLP license and C's required

BLS certification

Required Experience

6-8 years as therapist

Supervisory experience preferred

LDMS knowledge preferred
