Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Manager-Security Operations, performs a variety of duties related to the functioning of the Security Operations Center such as, monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm monitors, operating a variety of communications equipment to provide general information and notification of emergency situations, and maintaining vehicle registrations and log books.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers. Gives priority attention to Safety and Security Hotline.
  2. Provides assistance, guidance, and direction to patients and /or visitors. Ascertains the nature of their business; assists and/or directs patients and/or visitors to various locations in the building when appropriate. Calls for an escort when necessary.
  3. Notifies police in case of theft, breaking and entering or other matters requiring notification of police.
  4. Monitors surveillance cameras and alarm monitors.
  5. Reports safety and/or fire hazards or security violations.
  6. Prepares crime, injury and incident reports. Maintains records on vehicle related issues.
  7. Issues parking privileges and handles registration and vehicle identification.
  8. Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
  9. Attends meetings as required.
  10. Performs other related duties as identified.
  

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 3 - 6 months
  • Minimum Education:
    • High School or G.E.D.
  • Required Certification:
    • CPR; Level I (OSHA) chemical spill
  • Skills:
    • Basic computer skills; good verbal and written communications skills
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
