Revenue Management Analyst

Position Summary:

 

 

General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Manager of - Revenue Analytics, performs and/or supervises the performance of revenue management reviews, including financial, pricing and operational. Reviews opportunities and recommendations with departments and assists in the implementation of those recommendations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Assists with Epic Contract Management (CM) Build. Oversees and ensures new contracts, as well as, quarterly and/or annual fee schedule rate updates are loaded into Epic CM timely.

 

2 Regularly reviews/monitors accounts for payment variances to ensure accurate contract build.

 

3 Collaborates with members of Payor Contracting and Patient Financial Services to review contract variances and monitor specific payment issues, payment processes or trends

 

4 Responsible for providing monthly summaries and reports, including under/over variances by payor, trend identification and financial performance reporting.

 

5 Assists the Finance – Reimbursement Department on month-end realization rate reporting and helps investigate variances from budget or other trends.

 

6 Proactively identify opportunities and key issues to improve payor performance and eliminate false/positive variances within the contract.

7 Investigates revenue processes to ensure system is optimizing reimbursement while maintaining compliance with applicable rules and policies.

8 Investigates billing system errors and develops corrective action(s) that will ensure appropriate reimbursement. Follows through with the department to ensure compliance with changes.

9 Assists in special revenue management projects.

 

 

 

 

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience 2 years in Business Operations, Audit or HealthCare Finance

Ideal applicant demonstrates a strong working knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and other third party billing requirements

Pref Course(s)/Training Business/Accounting, Finance or Management, health care policy and management.

Position will require 50% travel between entities
