General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Pulmonary Services Team Leader the respiratory therapist performs respiratory care modalities according to established standards and practices at the base practitioner level. The RRT Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Administers respiratory therapy modalities as per the physician, clinical practice guidelines and/or clinical pathway. Charts treatment, response and progress.
2 Performs patient assessment and develops a comprehensive pulmonary care plan.
3 Modifies therapy to maximize efficacy of the therapy regimen.
4 Collaborates with the physician to manage the initiation, maintenance and weaning of patients requiring ventilatory support.
5 Maintains active and support communication with the patient regarding progress, problems, home programs and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
6 Provides quality care consistent with appropriate policies and procedures, quality assessment program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

 

Required Skills

Applicants must hold: Reg Respiratory Therapist License

Currently accepting new graduates who will be obtaining their RRT license in the near future.

Currently offering a forgivable Loan program that will help support ASRT (Associate Science, Respirator Therapy) to BSRT (Bachelor Science, Respiratory Therapy).
