Job Description:

Under general supervision, provides customer service for the WellSpan Medical Equipment. Calls new PAP setup patients, reviews expected out-of-pocket costs for patient, explains financial expectations of patient, schedules the setup appointment, and reviews program expectations (i.e., myAir, etc.). Meets with patient after setup to process any self-pay purchases and assure financial process is complete.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Answers the telephone, and if unable to complete, forwards call to appropriate staff.
  2. Takes PAP orders ready to schedule and calls the patient. Reviews expected out-of-pocket costs for patient, explains financial expectations of patient, schedules the setup appointment, and reviews program expectations (i.e., myAir, etc.).
  3. Communicates with clinician any appropriate information about the patient/setup.
  4. Meets with patient after setup to process any self-pay purchases and assure financial process is complete.
  5. Documents interactions with patients in Brightree.
  6. Communicates and interacts well with all departments of WellSpan Medical Equipment and other agencies, (i.e., doctors' offices, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.).
  7. Forwards ResMed 360 Tasks to appropriate setup staff.
  8. Assists with other projects as needed
 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience:
    • Previous experience in customer service
    • Min Field of ExpertiseDurable Medical Equipment (DME) experience preferred
    • Req Courses/TrainingCompletes annual mandatory WellSpan LMS training. Completes competency training as required. Attends product in-services and training sessions.
  • Minimum Education:
    • High School or G.E.D.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing; good memory retention and accuracy to detail required; is able to answer the majority of customer inquiries; exercise judgment and discretion, and function independently within authorized limits; maintains excellent customer relations at all times; good telephone skills; knowledge of and ability to use computers with WellSpan Medical Equipment’s billing system, cash register, photocopier, and Right Fax.
