Psychology Resident
Full time (80 hours biweekly)
Weekdays, days and evenings
Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of a Senior Director or designee, provides psychological services under clinical supervision per relevant psychology licensing laws.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides assessments in a multidisciplinary environment, to make recommendations for diagnosis (DSM, ICD) and interventions.
- Conducts individual, couples, family and/or group therapy sessions as appropriate. Formulates and updates treatment plans and modifies treatment accordingly.
- Provides all necessary documentation to reflect patient care status and to meet regulatory requirements, completing documentation within organizational timeframes.
- Selects, administers and interprets psychological tests and writes psychological reports. Shares results with clients, referral sources and other relevant parties.
- Coordinates care of assigned patients with treatment team members and other providers, agencies or referral sources as appropriate.
- Demonstrates conduct that is ethical and professional. Operates within relevant laws.
- Responds sensitively to issues of individual and cultural diversity in practice.
- Complies with WellSpan Health Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience:
- One-year psychology internship training experience is required.
- Minimum Education:
- Doctoral degree from psychology educational program and completion of a one-year doctoral psychology internship program.
- Required Courses:
- Must have completed a psychology doctoral degree and one-year doctoral psychology internship program; Must provide clearance per the Child Protective Services Law amended by PA Act 33 of 1985
