Psychologist - Meadowlands Outpatient- Day/Evening

Job Description:

Under general supervision, provides individual, group and/or family psychotherapy. Administers and interprets psychological evaluations. Participates with members of the clinical treatment team in the development and review of clinical treatment plans. Monitors the progress of clinical staff and adherence to established standards of care and clinical protocol.


Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Provides clinical supervision of counseling personnel to include participation in therapy sessions, consultations regarding specific cases, and regular counseling.
  2. Designs and implements treatment plans, including individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy, and evaluates and documents patient progress.
  3. Assesses patient needs through clinical interview, chart/history review, and psychological testing procedures.
  4. Consults with physicians, nursing personnel and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop optimal treatment plans for patients requiring psychological treatment.
  5. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
  6. Plans and participates in the ongoing staff development in-services for all personnel assigned to the area.
  7. Develops and delivers professional continuing education seminars and workshops to the mental health community.
  8. Assists in the implementation of education and training experience for psychiatric interns and other designated students.
  9. Develops, recommends and coordinates the implementation of new procedures.



  • Minimum Experience:
    • 3 - 5 years
  • Minimum Education:
    • Doctorate (Ph.D.)
  • Minimum Field Of Expertise:
    • Meets requirements for Clinical Supervisor & Category: Expert Clinician
  • Required Certification:
    • Licensed to practice as a clinical psychologist in PA
  • Required Courses:
    • Must provide clearance per Child Protective Services Law amended by PA Act 33 of 1985
  • Skills:
    • Advanced written and oral communication skills
