Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the lead project manager, provides professional services on assigned projects for the design and construction of System facility alteration and addition projects. Develops cost and time estimates, schedules, contracts, etc. for projects. Monitors construction progress, ensuring that costs, timing and contract requirements are followed. Coordinates with System entities to review design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, move-in procedures, etc. Investigates and resolves problems arising from construction or changes in existing facilities. 


Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Supervises or completes in-house planning, design and installation with input from other members of the project team.
  2. Oversees and coordinates construction documentation and construction progress on a routine basis. Assists in the selection of design, construction and other project related service providers.
  3. Prepares cost estimates, schedules, correspondence, contracts and purchase requisitions for projects.
  4. Manages correspondence, project documents, contracts, change orders, project budgets and schedules as related to design, construction, furniture, equipment and signage contracts.
  5. Coordinates outside construction resources with in-house departments including, data/telecommunications, security, and engineering.
  6. Ensures all punch-list items are complete, and lien waivers and a certificate of occupancy has been obtained before any final payments are approved.
  7. Ensures that System standards, external codes and approved materials and procedures are used.
  8. Conducts pre- and post-occupancy evaluations.
  9. Monitors and reviews new materials, advanced technology, construction techniques and federal, state and local codes.
  10. Acts as liaison between customers and service providers.
  11. May make layouts for proposed renovation work.
  12. May provide record and/or contract drawings to outside contractors and consultants as required and maintain a record thereof.






  • Minimum Experience:
    • 5 years
    • Experience with Project Design and Delivery
    • Architectural Design and Construction Mgmt. 
    • Collaborative Project Delivery
    • Ability to work in a Cross - Functional teams.
    • Experience in Healthcare a major plus


  • Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology or related field or equivalent experience. 


  • Minimum Field Of Expertise:
    • Construction management, engineering, architecture, interior design


  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills; able to handle multiple assignments concurrently; proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel,
    • Powerpoint, Word and Project; Experience with AutoCAD a plus
