Job Description

Under general supervision, responsible for providing oversight, coordination, specialized data analytical support and expertise, consulting, and project management facilitation for various WellSpan Medical Group wide initiatives. These initiatives include but are not limited to pay-for-performance programs and EHR implementation and optimization. The Program Manager works independently and collaboratively with members of the WellSpan and WMG clinical and operational leadership teams, WMG practice leadership teams and WMG physicians/APCs to enhance organizational strategies. Develops work plans, identifies cross departmental dependencies and impacts, leads subgroup meetings, measures and reports progress, creates agendas, takes and distributes meeting minutes and ensures compliance with anti-trust and other regulatory restrictions. Applies project management methodology expertise to solve problems and project challenges. The Program Manager will perform needs assessments; define project management structure and resource requirements. Coordinates project implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides leadership and support to specific projects, programs, and initiatives as assigned.
  2. Oversees or collaborates with cross-entity project teams that analyze clinical, operational and financial improvement opportunities.
  3. Collaborates with members of the Corporate Quality Management and Clinical Improvement, Population Health, and Finance to align goals, work effort and resources.
  4. Develops and implements detailed project plans with metrics, milestones, and outcomes.
  5. Reports progress and outcomes to WMG leadership and other governance as requested.

Required Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Project management experience is strongly preferred
  • Lean experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • Notes:
    • Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 5 - 8 years
    • Pref. Field Of ExpertiseHealthcare and business process redesign
  • Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Education:
    • Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other relevant field
  • Required Certification:
    • /LicenseProject Management, Six Sigma, Lean or similar training
  • Physical Demands:
    • Mostly sedentary work
  • Skills:
    • Experience with Microsoft. Excellent business relationship skills. Excellent communications and trouble shooting/problem solving skills; must be flexible, adaptable and able to function under pressure. Organizational skills, independent thinking and management competencies.
