Product Manager - Clinical Quality Analytics
Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE) leadership, the Product Manager is responsible for retrieving, interpreting, and analyzing data to drive key business decisions and actions, measure program efficacy and contribute to strategic direction. The individual will work on projects and products dealing with key performance metrics tracking, financial and business assessments of potential strategic initiatives and other ad hoc requests. The solutions could range from dashboards in advanced BI content to exploratory analysis and impact assessments that leads to strategic recommendations.The Product Manager is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships and for facilitating communication between the stakeholders and the organization’s analytics capabilities. This position is directly responsible for the process of translating organizational needs into business requirements to be fulfilled by the ACoE team. This position is also responsible for managing the process of request intake, requirements analysis and assistance with request prioritization. The Product Manager is responsible for driving transparent communications between the ACoE and the stakeholders as well as providing education, training and support for enterprise analytics/visualization tools. The Product Manager is also responsible for supporting processes that grow enterprise analytics capabilities including workflow management, data validation and data governance activities and will work closely with leaders in clinical, financial and information services team members.This position will work collaboratively with associates across different levels, functions, business units and regions to support all data and analytical products. Working with other teams across the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE), participates as a catalyst for maintaining the product life cycle. Focusing on system strategic goals and objectives, assist business stakeholders with formulating appropriate data and analytics questions that will lead to analyses which will reveal relevant insights. Assists stakeholders with interpreting results, at times applying visualization techniques (e.g., Microsoft Power BI).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation of the Analytics Center of Excellence projects by engaging directly with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into analytics requirements.
- Develops communications strategies and plans that support the ability for the ACoE to maintain a strategic partnership with the organization.
- Leverages critical thinking ability to develop comprehensive project intake documents and manages each request through the approval and prioritization process.
- Works with ACoE team members and stakeholders across the health system on the development of project detailed requirements. Translates requests for analytic services by generating comprehensive documentation including project scoring that supports governance prioritization efforts.
- Develops educational materials for the use of analytics and analytical tools throughout the organization.
- Provides detailed training of enterprise analytics tools across the organization.
- Maintains creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends.
- Supports the execution of the roadmap and vision for the Analytics Center of Excellence with functions that include business relationship management, request management, analysis and the development of analytic solutions. This process includes the development and execution of an analytics strategic plan that is aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
- Effectively works with stakeholders to diagnose solutions to key organizational challenges and develop value-based roadmaps that support the strategic and operational needs of the organization.
- Responsible for contributing to business analyst best practices, provides mentoring and guidance to team members, and identifies learning and growth opportunities for team members.
- Works with engineering and development team members to define the functional and technical design to support business processing requirements for data and analytics products.
- Works with the Product Owners to ensure delivery throughout the lifecycle of the product. Tracks and communicates status to wider team and management as needed.
- Able to take a business question or need and turn it into a data question for the purpose of transforming and analyzing the data to extract an answer to that question.
- Supports the ACoE data and analytics strategy, processes, technical architecture, and design of subject areas.

- Min Field of Expertise: Healthcare operations or Data and Analytics related experience
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Skills:
- Business Analysis, Business Requirements Documents, Project Management; Experience in Agile methodologies, writing User Stories, Using Jira; Strong teamwork/communication/customer service skills.
