Position Summary:


General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director HRIS/Payroll/Records, maintains automated and imaged records for all system personnel. Processes the majority of all system wide personnel actions, requisitions, verifications of employment and unemployment claims.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Processes a variety of changes in employees automated record; including status, transfer, merit, personal and tax changes and when necessary communicates changes/corrections to employee and manager.
2 Processes leave of absences for non Family Medical Leave changes sending the appropriate communications to other staff within HR when there is an impact to benefits.
3 Insures that new hires/re-employments and existing employees are setup correctly and that taxes will be taken appropriately.
4 Maintains immigration information on all employees within Human Resources database.
5 Insures data accuracy by validating self service and co-workers entries.
6 Distributes documents to the appropriate area(s) using the fax and mail agents within the document imaging system.
7 Maintains imaged employment records of system personnel insuring that records adheres to EEOC and state law.
8 Maintains performance review frequencies for employees based on entity guidelines.
9 Assists in maintaining appropriate department reporting structure using the appropriate Human Resources system application.
10 Gathers and organizes employee information for regulatory and Joint Commission reviews.
11 Prepares documentation for a variety of internal and external sources, such as: Unemployment Compensation; Employment Verifications; manager and employee records reviews.
12 Works with managers and supervisors to insure that paperwork is complete and accurate and that the appropriate approvals are in place.
13 Assists supervisors, managers and employees with answering questions related to payments, dashboards or policy interpretation.
14 Provides back-up telephone coverage for other records staff, routing calls appropriately or taking clear messages.
15 Reviews all hiring requisitions for accuracy and authorization and then creates electronic requisition within Lawson.
16 Assists with New Hire Orientation.


Required Skills

 Preferred Education Associate’s Degree

  • 1 - 2 years HR experience
  • Ideal applicant has Knowledge of Lawson HRIS and KRONOS timekeeping systems (or experience with similar systems) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with a desire and ability to learn new applications
