Physical Medicine Aide - Results Physical Therapy (Chambersburg) - PRN

Position Function:

Under the direction of Clinical Manager(s) and staff therapist(s) or therapy assistant(s), assists in the general operations of the assigned work area. As assigned, may also guide activities of the volunteers and part-time students. Maintains supply inventory and general housekeeping within the department. May assist with clerical duties and patient transportation as directed. May be required to travel between clinical sites to assist in provision of care.

Qualifications and Standards

Education:

• High School graduate required with course work in medical terminology, typing, computer use and nurse attendant training preferred.

Experience:

• Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
• One year of work experience in direct patient care with Nurses Aide or EMT training or three years of direct patient care experience in an OT or PT department of a health care facility preferred. Must have an understanding of medical terminology, disease entities and treatment, including basic infection control procedures.
• Typing at a rate of 45 wpm, clerical and computer skills are required.

Certifications/Licensure:

• CPR required
