Position Summary:

Community Pharmacy Technician I


Full Time - Day/Evening Shifts (8 Hour)


Pharmacy store hours are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) and 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Saturday)


Must be available for all possible shifts and every 3rd Saturday rotation.



General Summary:


Under the direct supervision of the appropriate supervisor and Pharmacist, fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels.
  • Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed.
  • Submits and receives orders from suppliers.
  • Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
Required Skills



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills and the ability to use various software applications at once
  • Critical thinking skills, detailed oriented
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks


Required Experience


  • Minimum 6 months pharmacy technician experience preferred
