WellSpan Health, a large integrated health system in south central Pennsylvania, is seeking a physician with Board Certification in pediatrics or a pediatric sub-specialty.  Prior experience in a pediatric medical practice or NICU is required.

  Position Summary

  • Secure employment with WellSpan Medical Group, a mature multi-specialty group that employs 1,500+ providers
  • This position is a blended role; twenty hours per week (0.5 FTE) the leader will be involved in clinical activity and twenty hours per week (0.5 FTE) the physician will participate in leadership activities
  • 8 hours per week as Pediatric Chair at York Hospital
    • Physician will report to the Vice President of Medical Affairs
    • Duties include overseeing all Pediatric Services at York Hospital
  • 12 hours per week as Service Line Co-Medical Director/Medical Director, Quality and Innovation
    • Work collaboratively with the Vice President of Women & Children Service Line to assist with setting strategic direction measure results, resolve issues and achieve operational and financial objectives
    • Design and implement programs to ensure that all participating providers deliver quality, cost effective care across all settings
    • Direct the medical management and quality improvement activities for inpatient pediatrics and the NICU across the system of care
    • Join team of Medical Directors focused on Quality and Innovation within WellSpan Medical Group (WMG). Focus on execution of annual operating goals and objectives, physician relationship, optimization of EPIC HER.
