Night Shift

 

 

Job Description:

 

Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or designated RN supervisor, attends patients at risk for falls and/or at risk for pulling out IV lines/tubes, in order to avoid the use of restraints.  Supports caregiver to maintain flow of patient care efficiently. Provides simple assistance such as ambulation, simple toileting, repositioning and assistance with feeding/fluids.  Participates in the provision of diversional activities such as playing cards, board games, reorientation, etc.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Attends patients at risk for falls and/or at risk for pulling out IV lines/tubes, in order to avoid the use of restraints.
  2. Provides simple assistance such as ambulation, simple toileting, repositioning and assistance with feeding/fluids.
  3. Supports caregivers to maintain flow of patient care efficiently.
  4. Assists with stocking supply closets, sanitizing equipment and workstations and unit areas.
  5. Participates in the provision of diversional activities such as playing cards, board games, reorientation, etc.

 

Qualifications:
 

  • High school graduate/GED preferred but not required

 

  • Previous patient care or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

 

  • Good communication and customer service skills
