Palliative Care Physician

York, PA

WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania, is seeking a fulltime Palliative Care physician.  The successful candidate will staff two new clinics and WellSpan Surgery & Rehabilitation Hospital in York, PA.  

About the Position

  • Fulltime employed position with WellSpan Medical Group (WMG)
  • WMG currently employs 1,800+ providers
  • Candidates with fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Care are preferred
  • If board-eligible/certified in Hospice & Palliative Care, you are welcome to apply
  • Two new outpatient clinics will be an “embedded model” to promote patient access
  • Clinics are located at the new WellSpan Cancer Center & Community Health Center
  • Physician will be flexible & willing to occasionally cross-cover neighboring counties
  • WellSpan’s entire five county system has transitioned to EPIC
  • Physician will report to the Medical Director of Palliative Care
  • A palliative care CRNP and RN Care Coordinator round out the clinic staff
  • Large referral base of WMG primary care and specialty providers
  • Multidisciplinary team strives to avoid hospital admissions during last months of life
  • Excellent support from WMG leadership and an experienced Practice Manager
