PRN Pharmacist - Good Samaritan

Job Description:

Under general supervision, provides prescribed pharmaceuticals and drug information as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares, labels, and dispenses injectable syringes containing COVID-19 vaccine.
     
    Non-Essential Accountabilities:
  1.  Performs other duties, as identified, related to pharmacy support of COVID-19 vaccination clinics. 
  2.  Follows standard procedures when transporting COVID-19 vaccine to/from ultra-low freezers and/or dry ice. 
     
    Common Expectations:
  1. Demonstrates acceptable sterile technique when manipulating injectable pharmaceuticals. 
  2. Complies to established hospital policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  3. Provides outstanding service to all customers and fosters teamwork. 
     
    Qualifications
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 6 - 12 months
  • Minimum Education:
    • Pharmacy Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Certification:
    • Pennsylvania pharmacist license as required
  • Required Courses:
    • Completion of a program from accredited school of pharmacy
  • Physical Demands:
    • Occasional prolonged standing/walking/sitting
    • Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment
