Operational Supply Chain Analyst

General Summary:

Under general supervision, provides performance improvement, project management and change management tools and skills for the Operational Enrichment activities within Supply Chain.  Responsible for moving Supply Chain Opportunities for Improvement from identification to implementation with routine follow-up to ensure improvements are sustained.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1.  Identifies areas of Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, leadership and staff interviews, questionnaires, Gemba Walks, etc.
  2.  Facilitates Kaizen events with Key Stakeholders to identify and document Current State, specific OFI’s and Future State.
  3.  Performs Key Stakeholder Analysis to ensure complete and accurate identification of those individuals/departments needed for project success.
  4.  Performs Root Cause Analysis to identify the primary process elements requiring redesign.
  5.  Defines and closely manages project scope.
  6.  Clearly and continuously articulates project goals and benefits to all key stakeholders with a focus on Patient Experience (Cost, Quality and Outcomes), Safety, Community, Employee Engagement, and the best interest of WellSpan Health.
  7.  Develops and implements a Plan to mitigate the risks associated with identified solutions.
  8.  Develops and implements a thorough Communication Plan for each project.
  9.  Ensures improvement solutions are sustained following implementation with appropriate cross-functional training programs, periodic process audits, and appropriate metrics with control limits to identify potential problems as they occur.

 

Qualifications:

 

  Note:                          Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered.

 

  Minimum Education:       Bachelor's Degree in a pertinent field (supply chain preferred) or significant relevant experience with a passion to learn

 

  Minimum Experience:     3 - 5 years in supply chain, project management and/or performance improvement field

 

  Skills:                          Excellent change management, project management, and performance improvement skills with high level of written and oral communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; substantial computer literacy skills

 

  Other:                          Knowledge, training and/or experience in project management tools and/or Lean, Six Sigma, or other performance improvement sciences would be advantageous.

 

  Travel:                         Occasional travel to any Wellspan Facility
