Medical Director – Obstetrics/Gynecology

WellSpan Medical Group, a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania, seeks an experienced physician leader specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology for their WellSpan OB/GYN - Ephrata and Ephrata Community Hospital locations.  This is an opportunity for an inspiring leader to develop and influence the vision and strategic priorities for the practice and make a positive impact on clinical quality and patient experience.  Candidates must possess practice leadership experience, have 5 years of clinical experience and be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine degree plus completion of a medical residency training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a requirement and robotic experience is preferred.  The Physician will provide medical care related to pregnancy or childbirth as well as, diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases of women, particularly those affecting the reproductive system.  The Medical Director serves as Department Chairperson.  WellSpan Medical Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

 

About the Practice

  • WellSpan OB/GYN – Ephrata is experiencing significant growth
  • The practice currently includes 4 physicians, 1 CRNP and 7 CNMs
  • The physicians enjoy practicing a nice mix of obstetrics and gynecology
  • The new physician will have an established patient panel
  • WellSpan transitioned to inpatient/outpatient EPIC in May 2017
  • Excellent call schedule allows for lifestyle balance
  • Midwives take first call
  • Deliveries & surgeries at Ephrata Community Hospital (ECH), a 125-bed facility
  • A Level III-A NICU is well staffed by a dedicated team of neonatologists
  • Maternity Center includes six LDRPs and a 10-bed maternity unit
  • Two dedicated C-section operating rooms feature the latest technology
  • In addition to the C-section ORs, Ephrata Community Hospital has 10 general ORs
  • A da Vinci Robot Surgical System was recently added at ECH
