Heart Failure Cardiologist
WellSpan Cardiology-York, PA
Wellspan Medical Group (WMG) is seeking a full-time cardiologist with fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation. The successful candidate will join our rapidly growing tertiary referral practice. Expertise in inherited cardiomyopathies, sarcoidosis, cardio-oncology, pulmonary hypertension and heart failure procedures (right heart catheterization, biopsy, CardioMEMS) is welcome.
About the Practice
- Ideal candidate will be BC/BE in cardiovascular disease & AHF
- LVAD experience is required
- 2023 Fellows with excellent training encouraged to apply
- Candidate will join a team of 25 cardiologists
- Three experienced heart failure cardiologists will provide mentorship
- Recognized experts in TAVR, CTO, Complex EP & Inherited Disease
- The physicians are supported by 18 Advanced Practice Providers
- This is a 100% consultative practice
- York Hospital (YH) is a 600-bed teaching hospital & Level I trauma center
- YH’s Cardiology Fellowship will welcome its first class in 2024
- Admissions are handled by collegial hospitalist and critical care teams
- Rounding in CICU, Open Heart ICU, Cardiology Step-Down & CHF Unit
- WellSpan Health (8 hospitals & 200+ care locations) utilizes EPIC
- Every technology is available to care for complex cardiac cases including:
3D ECHO, Cardiac MRI & CT and PET
- Secure employment with WMG, which employs over 2,000 providers
