Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, provides administrative support services for the medical staff and medical staff officers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Accountabilities:

  1. Coordinates the orientation of new medical staff members to hospital protocols and services.
  2. Coordinates the processing of medical staff and allied health professional applications and appointments.
  3. Coordinates the communication of information between medical staff departments and administration.
  4. Schedules, coordinates and/or arranges meetings, appointments and/or facilities. Attends meetings and records minutes, as required.
  5. Types memorandums, policies, committee minutes, manuals, letters, forms, procedures, and other general typing as directed, initiating other documents and correspondence as appropriate.
  6. Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.
  7. Responds to routine inquiries as desired by administration. Assists medical staff as necessary.
  8. Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports, analyses and statements.
  9. Oversees the billing, collection, and deposit of medical staff dues and maintains related accounting records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 - 3 years
    • Min Field Of ExpertiseBusiness Administration
  • Minimum Education:
    • Associate's Degree
  • Skills:
    • OtherMedical Terminology; excellent interpersonal/communication skills; computer skills
