Medical Screener – Temporary

Schedule:

 

  • Evening Shift
  • 3:00 pm - 11:00pm

 

Assignment Length (subject to change): 

 

  • 6 months with potential to extend or go permanent

 

 Job Description:

 

  • Be the first point of contact for all employees, patients, and visitors who are entering the facility.
  • Operate infra-red thermometer to obtain a temperature reading of all individuals entering the facility according to the manufacturer’s instructions and CDC guidance for personal protection.
  • Welcome and screen visitors and staff using the health and travel history declaration form/questionnaire
  • Follow the CDC COVID-19 guidelines to determine if an individual is clear to enter the facility
  • Reporting cases of positive and negative responses according to established protocols while remaining cognizant of appropriate reporting requirements (State, Local and Federal) requirements (established per site).
  • Provide additional information to employees, patients, or visitors once responses have been documented
  • Put on (don) and remove (doff) personal protective equipment (PPE) per company protocol as required
  • Ensure individuals maintain appropriate social distancing of 6 ft as recommended by the CDC during temp screening process

  • Ethical understanding of patient processes, confidentiality, and personal health information (PHI) data management
  • HIPAA compliant
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to ensure personnel are properly recording results, consolidate the results and provide written reports and results to management.
  • Have the ability to learn and operate Non-contact Infrared Thermometer
Required Experience

Required Experience:

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience in a medical environment preferred
  • Prior experience with diagnostic testing preferred
  • Healthcare experience ( EMT LPN ) preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in an environment exposed to inclement weather to include hot, cold, or rain without access to covering.
