Medical Director Primary Care

WellSpan Health is seeking a Board Certified and experienced physician leader to serve as WellSpan’s Medical Director – Primary Care for our 11 practice locations in Hanover, Adams County and Thurmont, Maryland. This full-time position oversees the clinical activities of physicians and advanced practice practitioners and drives the quality and appropriateness of medical services throughout the region.

Position Highlights:

  • Drives growth opportunities and clinical improvement efforts to ensure the widespread deployment of evidence-based practice for safe, effective, equitable, patient-centered, and value-based care.
  • Leads and promotes clinical innovation and collaboration across primary care services to advance care delivery, outcomes, and team effectiveness.
  • Role is designed to be 50% clinical delivery and 50% administrative responsibilities.
  • Reports to the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Primary Care.

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania with minimum five years’ post residency experience in primary care with demonstrated leadership abilities. M.D. or D.O. required.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills.
